Storyteller Katie Green will join March 12 Song & Story Swap

Please come share in an evening of music and stories at the March Pioneer Valley Folklore Society SONG & STORY SWAP.

Sunday, March 12, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the The Harp, 163 Sunderland Rd., Amherst, Mass. 

Please note that the Song & Story Swap is now held on the Second Sunday of each month at The Harp Irish Pub.

Guest performer for the March 12 song & story swap will be storyteller Katie Green.

Katie Green will be at the Harp in Amherst on April 2Katie Green tells stories aimed at bringing people closer to one another and to the environment. She lives in Princeton, MA, and has performed throughout the Northeast. Katie's four recordings include a CD of stories for young children called The Red Hat which has been honored with three national awards. 

Katie Green promotes storytelling not only as a performer, but also as a teacher, organizer and author. She was a 1998 recipient of the National Storytelling Association's Service Award, and is co-author of the popular storytelling sourcebook, Weaving Tales, Spinning Hope.

PVFS welcomes back the brilliant comic folk collaborators Lou & Peter Berryman, when they will make a concert stop at the Northampton Center for the Arts on Sunday, April 2.

Lou and Peter Berryman, authors of twelve recordings and three songbooks of original material, have performed together for more than twenty years. Their whimsical and wonderfully accessible performances of their hilarious, quirky, yet oddly profound songs leave audiences with cheeks aching from smiling.

The show will take place Sunday, April 2, 7:00 p.m. at the Northampton Center for the Arts, 17 New South St., Northampton, Mass.  Tickets are $12 in advance ($14 at the door) and may be purchased at the Broadside Bookshop, 247 Main St., Northampton or at For the Record, 194 N.
