Guitarist Levin Schwartz will join May 14 Song & Story Swap

Please come share in an evening of music and stories at the May Pioneer Valley Folklore Society SONG & STORY SWAP.

Sunday, May 14, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the The Harp, 163 Sunderland Rd., Amherst, Mass. 

Levin Schwartz will be guest performer at the May 14 Song & Story Swap in Amherst, MAGuest performer for the May 14 song & story swap will be guitarist and singer-songwriter Levin Schwartz.

Adept at musical styles ranging from bluegrass to the bossa nova, Levin Schwartz is most often heard in public as lead guitarist for the Amherst-based Americana band, Amity Front. The group recently released a CD, Highway Bound, to considerable popular acclaim.  In addition to being a performer, he is a serious and thoughtful teacher, offering guitar instruction at Amherst's Fretted Instrument Workshop.  Levin Schwartz will be playing solo in his guest appearance at the Harp on May 14.

1794 Meetinghouse announces 2006 summer schedule

1794 Meetinghouse 2006 Aspire to the Arts seriesThe 1794 Meetinghouse in New Salem announces its summer Aspire to the Arts series with a full spectrum of musical events.  On the docket will be Selkie (6/18), a folk quintet led by Justina Golden; 5-Alone (6/22), the award-winning a cappella group out of the Pioneer Valley Performing Arts School, the bluegrass and gospel Tully Mountain Singers (7/15); and two IndieGrrl Showcases (7/20 & 7/27).
